Puzzles Day Nursery

A family run daycare nursery located in Northfield, Birmingham

Welcome to Puzzles

Puzzles Day Nursery is a privately owned children's day nursery that is run by a qualified teacher with Early Years Professional Status as well as a deputy manager who also has Early Years Professional Status.

We also have a team of highly qualified and experienced staff that are committed to providing the best care possible and responding to the needs of the children who attend our nusery.

We are registered with OFSTED and approved by the Environmental Health Department; regular inspections ensure that high standards are always maintained and that we can offer the best care possible.

We are one of the smaller nurseries within the Birmingham area with spaces for 32 children. This gives us a unique setting allowing us to offer your child a more personal and homely atmosphere, where all the staff know all the children and this allows us to cater for every child’s individual needs.

About Our Nursery

At Puzzles Day Nursery we offer top quality childcare and education for children from 0- 5 years with the emphasis on fun and by using a warm welcoming approach. We offer free 15 hours funding for 2 and 3 year olds, as well as 30 hrs free funding for most working parents of 3 and 4 year olds

We aim to help develop your child’s’ physical, social, intellectual, cultural and emotional development, so that they are well equipped to join in school life, emotionally, morally, socially and of course educationally.

The day nursery is designed to provide individual space to cater for different ages and abilities, but we also encourage interaction between the different ages and abilities. We find this helps all of the children’s development. Siblings also get to spend more time together throughout the day.

The activities that the children participate in throughout the day are all coordinated by a qualified experienced staff with a sound knowledge of child development and the National Curriculum. Each child has a key worker who organises their day.

Pre-school children take part in deciding their own day and by liaising with other members of staff we are able to provide a continuity of approach for all children which allows the children to gain confidence while feeling safe and secure in their close relationship with their key worker. The staff are a mixture of ages.

All of our staff are actively encouraged to expand and improve their professional knowledge, which enables them to keep abreast of current trends in childcare. Training is actively encouraged and all staff have access to training courses. Staff are NNEB or NVQ qualified and hold current First Aid Certificates, Health and Safety, and Food Hygiene certificates. We also have a nominated member of staff trained to work specifically with children with special needs.
